Rooibos grows in the mountains north of Cape Town, South Africa. The seeds are sown in February-March every year. After 18 months of growth, the land must be left idle for five years before it can be planted again after harvesting.
The leaves are needle-shaped, and the roots can go deep into the soil up to 3 meters, allowing her to absorb the mineral essence of pure groundwater. The whole plant is rich in minerals, and has the reputation of "South African Ruby".
